Rui Paula e Catarina Correia
Casa de Chá da Boanova
Rui Paula is one of the leading figures in Portuguese fine dining, known for his bold, independent approach to each of his ventures. Since 2007, he has led DOC in the Douro Valley, followed by DOP in Porto, and in 2014 opened Casa de Chá da Boa Nova – a two Michelin-starred restaurant where he shares creative leadership with Catarina Correia. Originally trained as a biologist, Catarina pursued her passion for cooking, graduating from Le Cordon Bleu in London and gaining experience in Michelin-starred kitchens before joining Rui Paula’s team in 2009. Since 2014, she has been the executive chef at Casa de Chá, where the duo crafts a cuisine defined by precision, elegance, and a deep connection to local identity.
