Taberna do Mar
Born in Portimão and with over 30 years in the restaurant industry, the chef is devoted to fusing Portuguese and Japanese cuisines, with fish always at the center. After working at Midori, Sea Me, Rabo de Pêxe, and Sushi Café, he opened his first solo project, A Taberna do Mar, in 2018. In 2024, he launched GARUM Fish & Wine Bar, deepening his culinary identity built on simplicity, local ingredients, and Japanese technique. Since 2011, he has also taught as a guest lecturer at ESHTE.
